Roles And Responsibilities

• Operate motorized material handling equipment such as an overhead crane, side loader, and forklift.
• When short-handed or during periods of high demand, assume responsibility for filling in where needed.
• Train staff to ensure they are fully trained for the tasks they are performing.
• Counsel, mentor, and develop the team.
• Lead pre-shift safety and production huddles with the team.
• Ensure corrective actions are carried out to eliminate workplace hazards.
• React to machinery breakdowns by directing repairs when possible, arranging for outside repairs, or reassigning personnel as needed.
• Assume short-term responsibility for management absences as requested.
• Perform all other duties as assigned.

Requirements

• Successfully pass a skills-based assessment evaluating reading, math, inspections & measurement, attention to detail, and problem-solving skills.
• Hold 3-5 years of experience, including experience operating equipment and recognizing materials in the service center.
• Show leadership abilities and possess strong interpersonal communication skills.
• Be able to multi-task and prioritize in a rapidly changing environment.
• Be flexible, dependable, and solutions-oriented.
• Develop proficiency in SAP as part of the role.

Pay

$28 - $30 hourly. A starting hourly wage higher than $28 is based on a level of experience and education that significantly exceeds the minimum requirements and is commensurate with the compensation scale.
