Responsibilities

  • Verifies and corrects discrepancies on finished good batch tickets from Quality Control
  • Moves trailers of both finished goods and raw materials
  • Generates all shipping documents, including all necessary papers for International shipments, FedEx, and UPS
  • Keeps shipping office areas and warehouse neat and orderly
  • Affixes spotter equipment and contacts maintenance for necessary repairs
  • Maintains ISO 9001/2000 certification
  • Ensures smooth flow of incoming and outgoing raw materials and finished goods
  • Maintains accurate shipping/receiving documentation in hard copy files as well as electronically
  • Assists in other departments as needed
  • Contributes to achievement of plant safety and housekeeping goals
  • Participates towards completion of other related tasks and duties as directed or needed
  • Contributes to annual physical inventory as directed or necessary

Qualifications

  • Must be at least eighteen (18) years of age
  • Must be legally authorized to work in the country of employment without needing sponsorship for employment work visa status now or in the future
  • One (1) year experience working in a manufacturing or distribution facility preferred
  • At least an associate's degree or higher preferred
  • At least three (3) years experience working in shipping and/or receiving preferred
  • At least two (2) years experience of driving a tractor trailer preferred

About the Role

The role of the Shipping and Receiving Coordinator is to verify and correct discrepancies on finished good batch tickets from Quality Control. They generate all shipping documents, including all necessary papers for International shipments, FedEx, and UPS. They know and willingly practice all safety rules and procedures and participate in the plant safety program including the wearing of appropriate safety equipment (PPE).

This position is also eligible for bonus based on performance and subject to the terms of the Company’s applicable plans. This position is eligible for sick leave benefits, funeral leave, idle holiday pay, and, provided eligibility requirements in the Collective Bargaining Agreement are satisfied, paid temporary employee flex days.

Requirements

Schedule: Gap Shift: Monday to Thursday; 10:00 am to 8:30pm
