About the role

As our Shipping Clerk, you will be responsible for shipping, packing, receiving, delivering, picking up, and various other functions of our warehouse. You’ll enjoy working in a fun, collaborative, and fast-paced (high-mix/low-volume) manufacturing operation. To align with aerospace logistics best practices, you will act as a key defender of our supply chain integrity, ensuring secure material handling, accurate ERP transactions, and strict compliance with defense regulations. This position reports to the Materials Supervisor.

Responsibilities

  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe shipping and receiving area, practicing and championing 5S (cleanliness and organization) throughout the Stockroom.
  • Use a forklift to load and unload container shipments from incoming trucks safely.
  • Receive, inspect, and stock all incoming materials, verifying part numbers, quantities, and descriptions against packing slips to ensure full traceability and location accuracy.
  • Use the company ERP system (SYSPRO) to look up purchase orders and ensure all incoming packages are received and staged on the appropriate shelves for each department.
  • Issue material and physical kit jobs based on the production schedule, ensuring all components are accurate.
  • Utilize FedEx Ship Manager, UPS WorldShip, and other carrier platforms; ensure all packaging procedures are followed according to our internal quality procedures to prevent transit damage.
  • Perform daily cycle counts and assist with physical inventory audits to ensure 100% inventory accuracy, utilizing FIFO (First-In, First-Out) best practices.
  • Collaborate with planners, buyers, and production to communicate any shortages, damages, or discrepancies immediately.
  • Process and manage all materials with finite Shelf Life in accordance with documented work instructions.
  • Maintain Floor-stock components via min/max requirements as defined by Buyer/Planners.
  • Enforce and adhere to the Counterfeit Parts Prevention program (AS5553) as well as all FOD (Foreign Object Debris) prevention and ESD (Electrostatic Discharge) handling procedures.
  • Maintain and file all production requisition forms and other traceability documentation.
  • Safely operate company vehicles to pick up and deliver products from our vendors and suppliers, adhering to all DOT regulations, traffic laws, and internal safety protocols.
  • Perform daily pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections and checklists.
  • Safely and efficiently load delivery vehicles to ensure products are secure from damage and weight is distributed evenly during transportation.
  • Maintain accurate delivery logs, obtain customer/vendor signatures, and process purchase order and sales order paperwork as needed.
  • Follow all safety procedures and company policies at all times.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
  • Must be a U.S. Person (U.S. Citizen or Permanent Resident) due to ITAR regulations.
  • Minimum 1–3 years of previous warehouse, shipping/receiving, logistics, or delivery driving experience required.
  • Valid driver's license with a clean driving record required.
  • Must be proficient with Microsoft Office and possess basic computer literacy for navigating shipping portals and ERP systems.
  • Experience with company products, electronics, or working in an AS9100/ISO9001 regulated environment is preferred.
  • Ability to lift, carry, and move heavy items (up to 50 lbs.) on a regular basis.
  • Comfortable standing, walking, bending, and performing repetitive tasks for extended periods.
  • Basic math and reading skills for inventory counts, dimensional weight calculations, and order processing.
  • Forklift certification preferred, or willingness to be trained and certified upon hire.
  • Commitment to workplace safety (OSHA standards) and company policies.

Pay

The pay range for this position is $21 to $25 per hour. Exact salary will be contingent upon your experience, education, skills, and any other factors Winchester Interconnect Corporation considers relevant to the hiring decision.
