Responsibilities
- Contact carrier representatives to arrange and issue instructions for shipping and delivery of materials.
- Accurately plan and schedule incoming and outbound shipments; interact with delivery drivers, managers, and associates.
- Determine shipping methods using knowledge of shipping procedures, routes, and rates.
- Examine contents and compare with records (manifests, invoices, or orders) to verify accuracy of incoming or outgoing shipments.
- Organize outbound shipments in the warehouse for pickup and ensure correct labeling on outgoing product.
- Prepare documents such as bills of lading and shipping orders to route materials.
- Record shipment data including weight, charges, space availability, damages, and discrepancies for reporting, accounting, and recordkeeping.
- Operate material handling equipment including pallet wrappers.
- Notify appropriate personnel of quality issues.
- Enter receiving and shipping information into CAMs.
- Notify end users of incoming products.
- Maintain clean shipping/receiving areas including docks, inventory organization, and racking.
- Participate in cycle counting, reporting, and monthly inventory accounting.
- Cross-train to back up warehouse employees.
- Participate in all warehouse inventories.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Requirements
- High School Diploma required.
- 1 to 3 years of experience with CAMS/SAP preferred.
- Hands-on inventory experience preferred.
- 1 to 3 years of experience in a manufacturing environment.
- Previous warehouse experience and equipment use preferred.

Physical Demands
- Frequent lifting and carrying of up to 50 lbs.
- Position may involve sitting, standing, walking, stooping, reaching, and lifting.
Work Environment
Typical warehouse environment with possible exposure to extreme temperatures.
Environmental and Training Needs
- Forklift, walk-behind, and scissor lift training required.
- Steel/composite toe shoes and safety glasses required.
