About the role
Coordinate, administer, and manage outbound shipments of our products to customers in North America, ensuring orders are processed per company procedures and customer Vendor Compliance requirements. Work closely with Sales and Warehouse teams.
Responsibilities
- Monitor workflow between Shipping and Warehouse.
- Expedite shipments as needed.
- Prepare pick lists, work orders, and shipping labels for the warehouse.
- Review, understand, and verify customers' Vendor Compliance and Routing/Shipping Instructions.
- Develop and maintain guidelines and procedures by customer.
- Ensure all Shipping Procedures and Instructions are followed to avoid chargebacks and late shipments.
- Request routing on a timely basis per customers' Compliance requirements.
- Coordinate with the warehouse to ensure all orders are routed and shipped on time and accurately.
- Request and evaluate freight quotes from various carriers; select the most appropriate and cost-efficient ship method.
- Prepare shipping documents, packing lists, Bills of Lading, etc.
- Familiarity with Master BOL requirements for consolidator pickups.
- Arrange and follow up on carrier pickups.
- Provide daily pickup schedules to the warehouse.
- Process shipments with truckers (TL and LTL), UPS, and FedEx.
- Communicate shipping information to customers and track shipments.
- Troubleshoot and follow up on delivery issues or delays.
- Handle some international shipments.
- Perform other shipping, transportation, and administrative tasks as needed.
Requirements
- Experience with World Ship and FedEx.
- Prior experience in logistics coordination.
- Excellent comprehension ability to understand and execute all requirements (routing, labeling, documentation) from Major US Retailers' Vendor Compliance documents.
- Highly organized, detail-oriented, and self-motivated.
- Strong communication skills (verbal and written).
- Excellent time-management skills; able to prioritize and multitask.
- Work independently and as part of a team to achieve shipping goals.
- Able to work under pressure and coordinate with different departments.
- Knowledge of freight description and classification.
- Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook.
- Familiarity with shipments via customers' truckers, LTL, UPS, and FedEx.
