Key Responsibilities
- Prepare and process outgoing shipments according to company procedures.
- Verify order accuracy by checking quantities, item numbers, and shipping information.
- Package products securely to prevent damage during transit.
- Generate shipping labels, bills of lading, and other required documentation.
- Cooky with carriers and transportation providers for pickups and deliveries.
- Track shipments and resolve shipping discrepancies or delays.
- Maintain accurate shipping and inventory records.
- Operate shipping equipment such as pallet jacks, hand trucks, and barcode scanners.
- Aid with receiving incoming shipments when needed.
- Inspect shipments for quality and accuracy before dispatch.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment.
- Follow all company safety policies and regulatory requirements.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Basic computer skills and familiarity with shipping software.
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Ability to lift and move packages up to 50 pounds.
- Good communication and teamwork skills.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
Preferred
- Previous warehouse, logistics, or shipping experience.
- Experience with inventory management systems.
- Forklift certification (if required by employer).
- Knowledge of shipping carriers and freight procedures.
