About the role
Responsible for coordination of all outgoing shipments, creating appropriate shipping documentation, maintaining associated records, and coordinating with customer service/sales teams.
Responsibilities
- Follow safe work practices and procedures, and ensure a “safety first” culture in every task undertaken.
- Ensure daily goals are met.
- Obtain shipping quotes.
- Coordinate all outgoing shipments.
- Coordinate international shipments.
- Package outgoing shipments.
- Invoice customers.
- Assist with unloading of delivery trucks as needed.
- Responsible for inventory of shipping materials.
- Maintain clean, tidy and safe work place.
- Abide by company and EHS regulations/policies.
- Advise manager on implementing changes.
- Advises manager of risks or potential hazards as required.
- Implement continuous improvement processes.
- Ensure company policies and procedures are adhered to at all times to ensure the security and confidentiality of company information.
- Co-operate with other staff, supervisors and managers.
- Perform any other duties as reasonably directed.
Requirements
- International Shipping Experience including knowledge of Incoterms.
- Minimum of 2 or more years’ experience in warehouse setting.
- Customer Service Experience.
- High School diploma.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Ability to lift 50lbs.
Preferred Skills
- Advanced Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, and PowerPoint).
- SAP experience.
- Forklift experience.
- Mechanical aptitude with attention to detail.
