Key Responsibilities
- Order Verification: Review and verify accuracy of customer orders, including product types, quantities, and shipping addresses.
- Packing: Prepare items for shipment by selecting appropriate packaging materials, packing products securely, and labeling packages with shipping information.
- Shipping Coordination: Coordinate and schedule shipments with carriers or freight services, ensuring adherence to delivery schedules.
- Documentation: Generate shipping labels, packing slips, and other necessary documentation. Ensure all shipping paperwork is accurate and complete.
- Inventory Management: Update inventory records to reflect shipped items and report any discrepancies to the inventory control team.
- Quality Control: Inspect outgoing shipments for accuracy and completeness. Report and address any issues, damages, or shortages.
- Communication: Communicate with other departments, including the warehouse, customer service, and transportation, to relay information about shipments and address any concerns.
- Customer Service: Provide assistance to customers regarding shipment tracking, delivery inquiries, and other shipping-related matters.
- Compliance: Ensure compliance with shipping regulations and requirements, including hazardous materials handling, if applicable.
- Returns Processing: Handle returns and exchanges, process returns into inventory, and update records accordingly.
Preferred Qualifications
- Candidate must have some or all of the following Educational/Technical requirements:
- - High school diploma or equivalent; technical or vocational
- - Minimum of 2 years of experience in Logistics.
- - Previous experience in shipping, logistics, or a related field is a plus.
- - Proficiency in using shipping software, inventory management systems, and Microsoft Office applications.
