Shift
8:00 AM – 4:30 PM (M – F)
Responsibilities
- Process shipments into Epicor ERP system throughout the day
- Ensure that required packing list, certificates, commercial invoices or other documents are prepared and are included with shipment
- Print out Sales Order picklists and accurately pull corresponding product and quantities
- Prepare product (cartons, packing material & palletization) for outbound shipment to ensure safe arrival at destination
- Contact and select carriers to schedule level of service as applicable to ensure safe arrival of product at destination using negotiated transportation contract rates (LTL, UPS, FedEx)
- Work with production leaders to pull material into packaging/shipping in order to help drive on-time shipments
- Communicate with Sales and Production and related support areas as needed
- Receive cross-training in other shipping/warehouse areas and perform those duties as needed (example: Cycle Counting)
- Practice good housekeeping and safety fundamentals keeping aisles and electrical panels clear and inventory well organized to facilitate efficient order pulling and inventory accuracy
- Load and unload trucks as needed
- Ensure all scheduled pickups are completed and secure building at end of day
- Operate various equipment, such as pallet jack, reach truck, and tow motor, etc.
- Assist with Receiving when needed
- Other duties as assigned
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- Minimum of two years' experience in shipping / warehousing operations required
- Strong work ethic with the ability to work in a fast-paced environment
- Good attention to detail
- Entrepreneurial nature: self-directed, goal-oriented, customer focused
- Experience with carrier web portals and LTL freight shipping required
- Experience with international shipments
- Proficient in MS Office
- Tow motor experience required
Physical requirements
- Ability to routinely lift & handle boxes weighing up to 60 lbs; most 20 lbs. or less
- Use various material handling equipment as required
