Shipping Clerk
About the role
Brivo is the global leader in cloud-based physical security, providing intelligent access control, video surveillance, and security solutions that help businesses protect people, property, and assets. This role is an entry-level position with a pay rate of $17.00 per hour.
Responsibilities
- Pick customer orders accurately using packing lists or shipping documentation.
- Pack products securely to prevent damage during transit.
- Prepare shipments using approved shipping carriers and software.
- Verify order quantities, product numbers, and shipping information before shipment.
- Label packages and prepare shipping documentation.
- Stage completed shipments for carrier pickup.
- Maintain accurate shipping records and update warehouse systems as required.
- Maintain a clean, safe, and organized shipping area.
- Follow established shipping procedures and Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
- Support Warehouse Operations and Inventory Control teams with daily operational needs.
- Absorb and assist with receiving and other warehouse tasks as business needs require.
Requirements
- High school diploma, GED, or equivalent preferred.
- 0–1 years of experience in warehouse operations, shipping, logistics, manufacturing, or material handling preferred.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to order accuracy.
- Ability to follow written instructions and established procedures consistently.
- Dependable, punctual, and able to work effectively in a team environment.
- Basic computer skills and willingness to learn warehouse management and shipping systems.
- Experience using shipping software or handheld scanners is a plus but not required.
- Forklift experience is a plus but not required.
- Ability to stand, walk, bend, and lift up to 50 pounds throughout the workday.
- Commitment to maintaining a safe, clean, and organized work environment.
- Strong work ethic with a willingness to learn and grow within the organization.
