Shipping and Receiving Supervisor

Essential Job Function & Responsibilities

• Secure carriers to deliver Stock shipments to FR warehouse from suppliers
• FR warehouse shipments to customers
• Able to operate a fork truck
• Secure carriers within the freight budget
• Loading and unloading of all trucks
• Generating Shipping Documents (Bill of Ladings, Commercial Documentation, Packing Slips, Export/Import Customs Declaration, Certificate of Origin etc.) as required.
• Ensure proper labels are on all materials in house
• Ensure all items are processed in Syspro system the day they are received or shipped
• Pull order pick list, pull parts, package parts and finally process shipment of orders
• Keep detailed records of shipments incoming and outgoing
• Maintain good relationships with Shipping Company Contacts (FedEx, freight/logistics companies)
• Communicate with customers and assist with customer needs to include delivery schedule and updates
• Look for ways to improve the current process
• Operate within the Logistics team providing guidance to the warehouse team and coordinating with project Shipping coordinator
• Cook
• Coordinate and communicate with project management team to ensure Change orders are applied for outgoing shipments
• Delivery schedules meet the customers’ expectations
• Shipments for stock are arranged

Required Qualifications

• At least 3 years of shipping and receiving experience
• High School Diploma or equivalent
• Microsoft Outlook, Excel and Word Advanced verbal and written communication skills
• Familiar with shipping products internationally
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
