Shipping and Receiving Associate 1st Shift

About the role

Metal Sales is the nation's largest manufacturer of metal roofing and building systems with 21 locations across America. Our Denver, CO branch has an opening on our production team for a Shipping and Receiving Associate.

Responsibilities

• Safely operate a forklift to load Metal Sales multi-stop trucks and customer will calls as they come in.
• Ensure product is damage free and piece counts match order.
• Visually inspect trailer before loading and report anything unusual.
• Check fluids on loading trucks.
• Assist in unloading & loading of C/C trucks as needed.
• Maintain a safe, clean, and organized work environment and assist in other departments as needed.

Qualifications

• Experience working in a distribution or manufacturing environment
• Ability to safely operate a forklift
• Basic math skills, including ability to read a tape measure
• Ability to work independently and with others
• High school diploma or GED

Physical Demands and Work Environment

• Must be able to read, hear, talk, drive lift trucks, wear PPE, and lift up to 75 lbs. repetitively
• Must be able to stand, walk, and/or sit approximately 7 ½ hours minimum per work shift
• Must be able to tolerate extreme temperature changes in the winter and summer months
• Noise level is moderate to loud
