Responsibilities
- Organize, prioritize, and communicate effectively with diverse contacts, adapting to daily schedule changes.
- Work through lunch and break times when drivers are ready to load, shifting breaks to slower periods.
- Lead and delegate tasks by assessing team workloads, adjusting duties to meet timelines, and fostering positive working relationships.
- Plan and prioritize LTLs and small packages to ensure readiness for driver arrivals.
- Assist in collecting Bills of Lading (BOLs), packing slips, and invoices for shipments; verify quantities and train crew members on counting and verifying receivables.
- Enter correct data into PeopleSoft, Maximo, and other applicable systems.
- Answer and delegate radio transmissions for receiving, facilitating incoming trucks and directing them to appropriate doors.
- Coordinate outbound trucks, orders, and load types, categorizing orders by product mix and assigning them to locations with Warehouse Associates for loading.
- Determine in advance when loads vary due to flexible instructions, complete documentation, and ensure WMS quantities match customer billing.
- Maintain email communication to stay aware of emergencies, order changes, new LTLs, and Customer Care needs.
- Confirm and sign all paperwork, serving as the final checkpoint for order errors.
- Ensure truck drivers understand tarping, strapping, edge protectors, and loading procedures; confirm appointment times and collect executed Job Site Forms and BOLs.
- Update CarrierPoint throughout the day, tracking inbound and outbound shipments, including pallets shipped and received.
- Facilitate daily communication with customer service on orders and problem-solving.
- Work closely with the Shipping Supervisor and provide backup coverage when necessary.
- Prepare daily work assignments by reviewing and printing pick slips, transfer tickets, etc.
- Double-check order picking per established procedures.
- Process paperwork for shipments, including BOLs, packing slips, and depletion.
- Follow and document Hazardous Materials Transportation Guidelines for all shipments.
- Post receipts for deliveries in PeopleSoft and Maximo.
- Dispatch orders for TRUCKS, LTLs, SM PKG, and CONTAINER shipments.
- Process LTLs and SM PKG through associated carrier systems.
- Process export documents against shipping guidelines.
- Handle RMA paperwork and dispatch carriers for pickup.
- Conduct cycle counts for raw materials and finished goods as instructed.
- Ensure all activities are performed safely.
- Relieve Warehouse Associates for breaks and lunches as needed.
- Coordinate projects with the Shipping Supervisor to maintain crew productivity.
- Identify and perform or facilitate necessary tasks to support operations.
- Train new warehouse employees and continue developing existing employees.
Requirements
- High school diploma or GED required.
- Minimum 3 years of experience in a fast-paced logistics manufacturing environment.
- Experience supporting logistics, customer care, and business goals.
- Ability to provide positive leadership and motivation for your crew.
- Ability to troubleshoot and solve logistics, carrier, and customer challenges.
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Excel, and others).
- Familiarity with standard warehouse concepts, practices, and procedures.
- Proven ability to teach and train other employees on processes and procedures.

Pay
Base Hourly Rate: $33.54. Individual compensation offers will be determined based on factors including geographic location, relevant experience, skills, education, and qualifications.
