Shipboard Director of Food & Beverge

About the role

The Director of Food & Beverage manages the Food & Beverage operations onboard, including all restaurants, bars, & lounges, in-suite dining, stewarding, and crew dining areas.

Responsibilities

• Provide the highest level of food quality and service
• Lead, mentor, and develop teams through start with the heart leadership
• Work closely with the Yacht General Manager to create and implement innovative culinary concepts
• Manage budgets and maintain the highest standards of service and hygiene

Requirements

• A Hospitality Management Degree is preferred, but not mandatory, with relevant experience in Leadership Management, Culinary Arts, Business Administration, or a related field
• Advanced certifications or diplomas in culinary arts, food and beverage management, wine certification, or related areas are considered ideal
• Minimum of 7–10 years of food and beverage management experience, including 3–5 years in a senior management role
• Luxury hospitality experience is required, with yacht or luxury cruise line operations highly preferred
• Candidates without prior sea-based experience must demonstrate senior-level leadership in land-based luxury environments, such as five-star hotels, luxury resorts, or Michelin-star (or equivalent) high-end restaurants
• Demonstrated record of accomplishment of successful leadership, strategic planning, and operational excellence
• Exceptional communication skills and command of English language
• Fully versed with food & beverage operational systems

• Assignment is currently 3/3 then will move to 4/2 with Yacht II
