About the role
Shift Managers lead shifts every week, ensuring customers receive a fast, accurate, and friendly experience. They provide leadership to crew and other managers, monitor performance, ensure quality, service, and cleanliness, manage inventory, maintain cleanliness, train staff, and communicate with the next Shift Manager.
Responsibilities
- Plan for each shift
- Maintain performance during the shift
- Ensure team meets McDonald’s standards
- Monitor safety, security, and profitability
- Communicate with the next Shift Manager
- Meet targets during shifts
- Help assigned Departments meet goals
- Manage food safety
- Handle internal communication
- Manage inventory
- Perform daily maintenance and cleanliness
- Train staff
- Ensure exceptional customer service
- Ensure safety and security
- Schedule staff
- Provide training
Requirements
Must have a high school diploma or equivalent. Must have previous management experience in a similar role. Must have strong communication and leadership skills. Must be able to work flexible hours, including weekends and evenings. Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds.
Qualifications
Must have a valid driver’s license and reliable transportation. Must be able to pass a background check and drug test. Must be able to work independently and as part of a team. Must be able to work in a fast-paced environment.
