About the role

Managers lead shifts every week, ensuring customers receive a fast, accurate, and friendly experience. They provide leadership to crew and other managers during a shift to maintain high standards of quality, service, and cleanliness. Shift Managers handle various tasks such as shift planning, performance monitoring, safety and security oversight, and communication between shifts.

Responsibilities

  • Plan and monitor shifts to ensure customer satisfaction.
  • Ensure compliance with McDonald’s standards for quality, service, and cleanliness.
  • Oversee safety and security measures.
  • Communicate effectively with the next Shift Manager to prepare for the following shift.
  • Meet and exceed targets set for the shift.
  • Support Department goals by assisting in meeting targets.
  • Manage inventory, daily maintenance, and cleanliness.
  • Ensure exceptional customer service.
  • Manage crew and delegate tasks as necessary.
  • Train new employees as needed.

Requirements

  • Previous leadership experience, preferably in a restaurant, retail, or hospitality setting.
  • A positive attitude and ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
  • A flexible schedule and willingness to adapt to the demands of the job.
  • Must be 18 years or older to qualify as a manager in a corporate-owned McDonald’s restaurant.
