About the role

Shift Managers lead shifts every week, ensuring customers receive a fast, accurate, and friendly experience. They are responsible for planning shifts, monitoring performance, enforcing McDonald’s standards, managing safety and security, and communicating with the next Shift Manager.

Responsibilities

• Plan and monitor shifts to ensure quality, service, and cleanliness.
• Take action to address any issues and ensure team members meet McDonald’s standards.
• Communicate with the next Shift Manager to prepare them for their shift.
• Meet and exceed targets set during their shifts.
• Help assigned Departments meet their goals.
• Manage inventory, daily maintenance, and cleanliness.
• Ensure food safety and exceptional customer service.
• Oversee crew management and quality food production.
• Handle scheduling and manage staff effectively.
• Provide training and development opportunities for team members.

Requirements

• Previous leadership experience, preferably in a restaurant, retail, or hospitality setting.
• Positive attitude and ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
• Flexible schedule and willingness to adapt to the demands of the job.
• Ability to communicate effectively and motivate team members.
• At least 18 years old to qualify as a manager.
