Shift Electrician-Melt

Responsibilities

• Perform electrical maintenance in the Melt Shop on a 4 on 4 off 12-hour rotating swing shift.
• Ensure all maintenance work is done safely by properly locking out equipment.
• Carry out preventative maintenance, emergency repairs, and installation of new electrical equipment.
• Assist millwrights and operators with daily maintenance tasks.

Requirements

• At least 3 years of experience as an electrician or electronics technician in an industrial setting.
• Knowledge of power distribution, AC/DC motors, motor control, and motor drives.
• Experience with Allen Bradley PLC’s and Rockwell Software.
• Experience with low, medium, and high voltage equipment.
• Understanding of thermodynamics, hydraulics, and pneumatics.
• Prior experience with robotic systems, particularly ABB.
• Formal education in industrial electrical and automation.
• Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills for electrical equipment.

Preferred

• Robotic experience (particularly with ABB).
• Formal industrial electrical and automation training.
