Sheraton Albuquerque Airport Hotel - Director Front Office

About the role

Lead and energize the entire Front Office team to create memorable guest experiences and keep the hotel running smoothly. Support guest loyalty efforts and lend expertise to room operations and reporting as needed.

Responsibilities

• Direct all Front Office operations, including guest check-in/check-out, room inventory management, brand standards compliance, and profitability through budgeting and policy enforcement.
• Coach, motivate, and develop the Front Office team through supervision, counseling, evaluations, recognition, recruitment, interviewing, and training.
• Monitor guest service trends, address issues, and resolve concerns to maintain high guest satisfaction.
• Implement creative marketing and upselling strategies to boost room occupancy and revenue.
• Keep the team informed about hotel promotions and events.
• Maintain emergency readiness with certifications, lead daily reporting and decision-making, and participate in Manager on Duty shifts.
• Step in to support any project or challenge as needed.

Requirements

• At least 6 years of progressive experience in front desk leadership; or a 4-year college degree and 4–5 years of related experience; or a 2-year college degree and 5–6 years of related experience.
• Specific brand experience, OnQ (PMS) certification, 500+ room experience, and/or previous director-level experience preferred.
• Excellent communication, problem-solving, and multitasking skills with the ability to meet deadlines and manage complex issues.
• Proficient with Windows Operating Systems and capable of analyzing financial and data information.
