About the role

Austin Pets Alive! is not your average animal shelter. We maintain comprehensive, innovative programs designed to save the animals most at risk for euthanasia.

Responsibilities

• Implement and manage innovative programs aimed at saving animals most at risk for euthanasia.
• Collaborate with other departments to ensure the success of these programs.
• Develop and execute strategies to improve live outcomes for sheltered animals.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in a relevant field (e.g., animal science, veterinary medicine, social work).
• Experience working with animals and/or animal welfare organizations.
• Strong organizational and communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Qualifications

• Passionate about animal welfare and committed to improving live outcomes for sheltered animals.
• Excellent interpersonal and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends.

Skills

• Knowledge of animal behavior and care practices.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
• Experience with data analysis and reporting tools.
