About the role
The Shelter Veterinarian provides and oversees medical care for animals in the shelter's custody, in addition to providing medical care for animals fostered. Responsibilities include performing high-quality, high-volume spay/neuter surgeries for domestic animals both at the shelter and for owned animals in the Corinth Alcorn County area. The position satisfies current veterinary standards of care.
Responsibilities

- Satisfies current veterinary standards of care.
Requirements
- Current North American Veterinary License (NAVLE)
- Experience with spay/neuter surgeries
- Experience with animal behavior and training
- Experience with animal welfare and shelter medicine
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in veterinary medicine
- Board certification in veterinary medicine preferred
Skills
- Excellent communication skills
- Strong problem-solving abilities
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team

Pay
The salary range for this position is $50,000 - $60,000 annually.
Schedule
The schedule for this position is Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM - 4:30 PM.
