Sheet Shop Helper

About the role

This position is primarily in the sheet shop as a helper, assisting brake operators, delivering parts, unloading lasers, cleaning, and sweeping. There is limited time operating machinery such as a drill press, forming machine, shear, and/or punch press, which are set up and programmed by a sheet shop operator. Duties include using a tape measure and miscellaneous hand tools. The role requires working independently toward team goals, good mechanical aptitude, and the ability to lift up to 50 lbs. Strong comprehension of written and verbal instructions, good attendance, and a commitment to safety are essential.

Responsibilities

• Perform job tasks according to schedules using established safe methods and processes.
• Operate machinery including a drill press, forming machine, shear, and/or punch press.
• Assist brake operators, deliver parts, and unload lasers.
• Clean and sweep work areas.
• Use a tape measure and miscellaneous hand tools.
• Work independently toward team goals.
• Maintain good attendance and work safely.

Requirements

• High School Diploma or GED.
• Must be at least 18 years old.
• Good mechanical aptitude.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
• Ability to stand, squat, or kneel for the entirety of the shift.
• Strong comprehension of written and verbal instructions.
• Good attendance and commitment to safety.

Pay

Hourly rate: $21.77 - $27.19

Schedule

Monday – Friday, 3:30 PM – 11:30 PM. Overtime may be required, starting as early as 1:30 PM.
