About the role
This position offers a dynamic environment for individuals interested in sheet metal work within the aviation industry. Responsibilities include performing basic sheet metal operations, assisting in supervising teams, and adhering to FAA guidelines.
Responsibilities
- Perform basic sheet metal operations such as drilling, riveting, cutting on airframe and associated components.
- Apply and remove sealant, sound deadening, and finish materials.
- Maintain and clean shop facilities, equipment, and tooling.
- Effectively communicate using English, both verbally and in writing.
- Assist in organizing manpower and setting priorities for involved projects.
- Work under supervision of assigned Team Leader and may supervise other technicians.
Requirements
- A High school diploma or equivalent, and Airframe and Powerplant License is preferred.
- A valid driver’s license approved for airline travel and/or a valid passport is ideal, but not mandatory.
- Prior experience working with sheet metal is preferred.
- Self-motivated and able to perform in a fast-paced environment.
- Attend work every day as scheduled, including overtime and weekend assignments.
- Reliable transportation to get to work each day.
- Must have reliable transportation to get to work each day.
- Perform all work in accordance with Federal Aviation Administration guidelines.
- Follow all company and safety rules during performance of duties.
- Maintain customer-oriented work habits.
Qualifications
- Basic to advanced knowledge of turbine aircraft structures, reading blueprints, working from drawings, fastening systems, procedures, and techniques.
- Basic computer skills to navigate electronic training, manuals, and maintenance databases.
Skills
- Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting abilities.
- Excellent communication skills (verbal and written).
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Physical stamina to lift up to 50 lbs and perform manual labor.

Pay
The hourly rate for this position generally ranges between $22-$38. Additional compensation in the form of a shift differential will be provided if the employee is assigned to an alternate shift.
Schedule
Weekly competitive and industry-leading pay means you are paid more often. Flexible work schedules include 5x8, 4x10, and 3x12.
