About the role
MIINC Mechanical is seeking an experienced Sheet Metal Foreman to lead and coordinate field crews on commercial construction projects. This role provides day-to-day leadership, coordinates with the jobsite Superintendent and other trades, and works closely with the Project Manager to keep work safe, productive, and on schedule.
Responsibilities
- Oversee and coordinate multiple sheet metal crews on commercial project sites.
- Provide direction and leadership to Journeymen, Mid-Level Journeymen, and Helpers.
- Coordinate sheet metal activities with the jobsite Superintendent and other trades.
- Read and interpret blueprints, shop drawings, and project specifications.
- Monitor daily progress and communicate project needs, challenges, and updates to the Project Manager.
- Ensure work is completed safely, efficiently, and according to project requirements.
- Promote accountability, teamwork, quality, and productivity among field crews.
Qualifications & Skills
- Commercial sheet metal experience with demonstrated crew leadership.
- Strong understanding of sheet metal installation and commercial construction practices.
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints and shop drawings.
- Strong communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to coordinate effectively with Superintendents, Project Managers, and other trades.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced commercial construction environment.
