About the role
This is a permanent, full-time position for a Sheet Metal Foreman in the Asheville, NC area. The role involves creating with your hands, working outdoors in various environments, and having the opportunity to lead and team and oversee construction sites. The ideal candidate should be local to Asheville and have prior experience leading a team.
Responsibilities
- Create and maintain a safe work environment for all team members.
- Lead a crew of Sheet Metal Journeymen and Apprentices on new Commercial Construction projects.
- Read and interpret blueprints and drawings.
- Complete daily reports, timekeeping, and job documentation accurately and on time.
- Assign tasks to complete projects on time and within budget.
- Provide on-the-job training for team members.
- Order material ahead of when it’s needed.
- Layout and install ductwork in a variety of job settings.
- Properly finish and seal duct work.
Requirements
- 4+ years of Sheet Metal installation experience.
- Prior experience leading a team is highly preferred.
- Track record of completing projects on schedule.
- Thorough knowledge of HVAC/duct codes and best practices.
Qualifications
- Ability to keep the workplace drug-free.
- Punctuality and reliability.
- Ability to work in extreme conditions including heat, cold, and bad weather.
- Standing and walking throughout the workday, lifting/carrying up to 60 lbs.
- Working in confined spaces.
- Problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Physical ability to reach above shoulders, crawl, squat, kneel, bend.
Skills
- Strong leadership and team management skills.
- Proficiency in reading and interpreting blueprints and drawings.
- Experience in ductwork layout and installation.
- Knowledge of HVAC/duct codes and best practices.

Pay
Your pay is dependent upon experience and will continue to grow based on performance. Annual pay reviews are provided.
Schedule
The schedule is flexible but includes regular workdays and potential overtime as needed.
