Main Tasks
- Ensure safety and proper PPE usage.
- Lead a crew of Sheet Metal Journeymen and Apprentices.
- Read and interpret blueprints and drawings.
- Complete daily reports, timekeeping, and job documentation.
- Assign tasks to complete projects on time and within budget.
- Provide on-the-job training for team members.
- Order material ahead of when it’s needed.
- Layout and install ductwork in various job settings.
- Properly finish and seal duct work.
Experience or Certification Needed
- 4+ years of Sheet Metal installation.
- Prior experience leading a team (highly preferred).
- Track record of completing projects on schedule.
- Thorough knowledge of HVAC/duct codes and best practices.
Required Skills:
- Ability to keep workplace drug-free.
- Be punctual and reliable.
- Work in extreme conditions (heat, cold, bad weather).
- Stand and walk throughout the workday, lift/carry up to 60 lbs.
- Work in confined spaces.
- Problem-solve and make decisions impacting the project.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Reach above shoulders, crawl, squat, kneel, bend.
