Sheet Metal Foreman

Primary Responsibilities

• Fabricate, assemble, install and repair sheet metal products and equipment associated with all HVAC related work, according to the job specifications and blueprints for commercial and/or industrial projects.
• Reviews projects with Superintendent and/or Project Manager after equipment and subs are takenoffs for projects in a timely and thorough manner.
• Plan, coordinate and supervise on-site functions to include, but not limited to, scheduling, material control, and rentals.
• Provide daily job completion reports.
• Assures all site personnel comply with project procedures, safety requirements, company policies and other requirements as they occur.
• Documents all incidents as they occur and notifies Project Manager and Superintendent.
• Recommends and implements corrective actions.
• Responsible for assuring that all jobs have weekly reports filled and turned into the office weekly. This includes safety/tool box reports, preconstruction, weekly production report and any project specific reports.
• Conducts inspections on jobs, assures jobs are detailed to Interstate Mechanical’s standards, assures jobs are ready, and participates as needed, in start-ups and coordinates as needed with contractors, engineers, subcontractors and owners as appropriate.
• Coordinates with shop for production scheduling and material ordering.

Qualifications

• 5+ years’ experience; journeyman or able to obtain journeyman certification.
• Able to read blue prints and prepare materials.
• Knowledge and Skills to deliver solutions to make sure issues do not become problems.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Self-motivated and able to multi-task and have excellent follow up skills both internally and externally.
