Shared Services Specialist - Finance and HR

About the role

This is an on-site, dual-matrix position providing support in finance, accounting, and human resources administrative functions within an airport setting.

Responsibilities

Accounting

• Manage Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, and Cash Room to ensure accurate and timely processing of payables, transfers, petty cash, and cash control.
• Oversee accounts receivable components including billings and cash receipts application.
• Support cash counting, Glory Safe servicing, reconciling vouchers, and maintaining Eigen Inventory.
• Respond to the Director of Operations and corporate departments with accurate and timely work to facilitate financial needs.
• Participate in special projects and compile special reports.
• Engage in critical and confidential aspects of accounting.
• Ensure compliance with the organization’s financial procedures.
• Work closely with IT staff to obtain accurate and necessary reporting from systems (Lynx BM, MyInventory, Crunchtime, Hot Schedules).
• Communicate professionally with co-workers, management, clients, and others.
• Perform weekly audits of safe counts in terminal(s).
• Ensure all cash handling and inventory procedures are followed.
• Perform any other duties as assigned by the manager.

Human Resources

• Handle new employee onboarding, including 321 forms and Hub New Hire data entry.
• Facilitate badging, parking, and uniform inventory management and distribution.
• Track and facilitate SSP Academy Training compliance.
• Serve as signatory for SSP America at the airport to set up new employee credentials, parking, etc., and retrieve them upon termination.
• Perform other related duties as required and assigned.

Requirements

• Minimum of 3 years of combined accounting/finance and human resource experience.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook).
• Ability and flexibility to work in a fast-paced environment.
• Experience in the restaurant, retail, or hospitality industry preferred.

Pay

Starting at $24.00 per hour.

Schedule

32+ hours per week.
