About The Role
Our client is seeking a highly detail-oriented Shared Services HR Specialist to join their growing HR Operations team in San Diego, CA. This position is ideal for an HR professional who excels in a fast-paced, high-volume environment and has a passion for accuracy, process excellence, and employee data management.
Key Responsibilities
- Process high-volume HR transactions within SuccessFactors Employee Central, SAP, and ServiceNow, including:
- New hires and rehires
- Promotions and transfers
- Compensation changes
- Organizational updates
- Employee separations and terminations
- Manage and resolve 30–40 HR ServiceNow cases daily, ensuring accurate documentation review and timely case completion.
- Validate employee data before and after entry, ensuring accuracy of:
- Employee master records
- Organizational assignments
- Compensation details
- Perform quality assurance reviews, reconcile data across systems, and proactively resolve discrepancies.
- Maintain audit-ready documentation and ensure compliance with established HR policies, procedures, and service-level agreements (SLAs).
- Partner closely with HR Operations, Payroll, Benefits, Talent Acquisition, managers, and Centers of Excellence (COEs) to support seamless employee lifecycle administration.
- Contribute to process improvement, standardization, training initiatives, and operational audits.
- Provide guidance and support to junior team members as needed.
- Handle sensitive employee information with the highest level of confidentiality and professionalism.
Required Qualifications
- A high school diploma or equivalent required.
- 4+ years of progressive HR administration, HR operations, shared services, payroll support, or HRIS experience.
- 2+ years of experience processing high-volume HR transactions in a shared services, HR operations, payroll, or HRIS environment.
- Hands-on experience with SuccessFactors, SAP, ServiceNow, or similar HR systems.
- Strong knowledge of employee lifecycle processes, including hires, terminations, transfers, promotions, and pay changes.
- Exceptional attention to detail with a proven ability to maintain accuracy in a high-volume environment.
- Intermediate to advanced Microsoft Excel skills, including:
- Pivot Tables
- VLOOKUP, XLOOKUP
- Data validation and reporting
- Strong organizational, analytical, and problem-solving abilities.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively across teams.
- Demonstrated ability to maintain confidentiality and manage sensitive employee data.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience supporting HR Shared Services organizations.
- Knowledge of I-9 verification and employment eligibility compliance.
- Familiarity with HR audits, compliance reviews, and documentation requirements.
- Experience working in a rapidly growing or highly dynamic organization.
