Shared Living Provider - Merrimack Valley, MA
About the role
The Shared Living program at Riverside Community Care matches adults with developmental disabilities with welcoming individuals or families in their community for long-term, in-home placement. The goal is to integrate the individual into the provider’s home and community life.
Responsibilities
- Assistance with meal preparation
- Transportation to medical appointments
- Medication administration
Requirements
Experience is helpful but not required. Training and ongoing support will be provided.
Qualifications
We are looking for individuals who have an extra room in their home and are willing to provide care and a social and engaging life for a person with cognitive disabilities.
Skills
No specific skills are required beyond the willingness to provide care and a supportive environment.
Benefits
The benefits of becoming a Provider include having someone become an integral part of your family and community. No formal benefits are listed, but the program provides support through Riverside Community Care.
Pay
The pay rate is a stipend-based arrangement determined by the Massachusetts Department of Developmental Services (DDS) based on the level of need of the individual supported. Stipend amounts vary accordingly.
Schedule
The schedule is flexible and tailored to the needs of both the individual and the provider family.
