SFC Ambassador Part Time

About the Role

Responsible for performing all activities associated with picking and shipping of orders to members' homes and businesses. This role requires frequent lifting of merchandise and safe navigation of a large picking cart around the club, including during club hours.

Responsibilities

• Use a digital handheld device to locate and pick merchandise orders from the selling floor.
• Safely navigate a large picking cart around the club, including during club hours.
• Assemble cardboard boxes and pack orders in a safe, damage-free manner.
• Move pallets of supplies using a pallet jack or other material handling equipment.
• Assist with loading UPS/FedEx trucks and shrink wrapping pallets.
• Process member purchases using a handheld digital device to pull merchandise from the selling floor.
• Use a handheld scanner (RF) to verify merchandise.
• Build boxes, shrink wrap packages, and move merchandise from sales floor to staging area.
• Communicate inventory or equipment problems, expired or short-dated items, and merchandise replenishment needs.
• Ensure orders are picked in a timely manner to meet productivity requirements and key performance indicators.
• Work with urgency to meet deadlines, including individual performance metrics.
• Follow operational efficiencies, processes, and productivity standards for BOPIC, Curbside, and Ship from Club.
• Wrap and secure merchandise to pallets, label pallets, and print shipping labels.
• Securely package orders according to standard operating procedures.
• Oversee package carrier pickups and maintain a neat, clean, and organized SFC area.
• Perform general housekeeping duties, including removing trash and cardboard.
• Handle damaged goods and spoiled products according to standard operating procedures.
• Process returns and determine appropriate handling (via DDR or Membership desk).
• Maintain all club policies and procedures, including working in other departments as needed.
• Deliver service excellence and resolve member concerns with a friendly, positive attitude.
• Commit daily to GOLD Member Standards: Greet, Anticipate, Appreciate (GAA).
• Work as a team to deliver GOLD club standards: Fast, Friendly, Full, Fresh, Clean.
• Maintain a clean and organized club, inside and out, including the SFC area.
• Understand and utilize production and financial performance reporting for your department.

Requirements

• Must be 18 years of age.
• Regular, predictable, full attendance is an essential function of this job.
• Most of the time is spent moving about continuously on hard surfaces.
• Frequent positioning to examine or scan merchandise, including bending, climbing, crawling, handling, pulling, reaching, and stooping.
• Continuously lift objects up to 30 pounds; may require lifting and moving heavy or awkward objects over 30 pounds with assistance.
• Work in a comfortable environment with moving machinery and loud equipment; occasional exposure to temperature extremes for refrigerated orders.
• Occasional exposure to company-approved cleaning agents.

Qualifications

• Previous order pulling experience preferred.
• Big box/wholesale retail experience preferred.
• Previous digital handheld device experience preferred.

Pay

The pay range for this position is $17.75 - $21.30 per hour. Actual salaries will vary depending on factors including but not limited to location, education, experience, and qualifications.
