About the role
The Sexual Assault Nurse Examiner will provide timely, non-judgmental, compassionate care to the sexual assault victim. The Sexual Assault Nurse Examiner will perform exams including medical-forensic exams, prophylaxis for pregnancy and sexually transmitted infections, photographic documentation, and referrals for appropriate medical and psychological follow-up, support, and participation in legal proceedings.
Responsibilities
- Provide timely, non-judgmental, compassionate care to sexual assault victims
- Perform medical-forensic exams
- Administer prophylaxis for pregnancy and sexually transmitted infections
- Document findings through photographic means
- Make appropriate referrals for medical and psychological follow-up
- Support and participate in legal proceedings
Requirements
- Currently licensed to practice as a Registered Nurse by state of employment or holds a multistate RN license through the Interstate Nurse Licensure Compact
- Completion of SANE training
- AHA Basic Life Support (BLS)
- AHA Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) - required prior to the end of the orientation period
- Certification in SANE-A and SANE-P preferred

Pay
- Evening Shift Differential: $2.50/hour
- Night Shift Differential: $5.00/hour
