ESSENTIAL DUTIES
- Cleaning and stocking exam rooms, organizing, stocking and tracking supplies, and lab collection.
- Aid in scheduling and completing documentation for appointments as assigned.
- Conduct medical evaluation, care and treatment for children of suspected sexual abuse as directed by protocol.
- Document the medical evaluation, findings and recommendations in the case record and provide a written report to the referring agency.
- Perform hair testing for drug exposure as directed by USDTL.
- Routinely participate in case review to continue ongoing learning and education.
- Participate in ongoing peer review through the Midwest Regional Children’s Advocacy Center and consult with the Medical Director on all examinations with findings that are deemed abnormal or “diagnostic” of trauma from sexual abuse.
- Testify as subpoenaed on the medical evaluation and findings.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary team and foster open and positive relationships with law enforcement, Children and Family Services, and the prosecuting attorney.
- Coordinate care with families, investigators, and community providers as needed.
- Ensure culturally competent services are provided to all families served.
