About the role
Provide compassionate, timely care to sexual assault victims as a Sexual Assault Nurse Examiner (SANE).
Responsibilities
- Conduct medical-forensic exams
- Provide prophylaxis for pregnancy and STIs
- Document findings photographically
- Facilitate medical, psychological, and legal follow-up support
Requirements
- Graduate of an accredited Nursing program; BSN preferred
- Valid and current RN license in Texas
- Current SANE certification from the Texas Attorney General or in-progress, with certification obtained within 6 months of hire
- Current TNCC or completion within 6 months of hire
- Two years of Emergency Department or Acute Care experience preferred
