About the role
This job is responsible for managing and settling larger and more complex probate estates and deceased grantor trusts. Key responsibilities include account management, completion of account related administrative tasks, and proactively communicating with the parties related to the account. Job expectations include the ability to work independently and escalate issues to reduce risk, build relationships with partners, and coach less experienced teammates.
Responsibilities
- Manages more complex probate estates and deceased grantor trusts that require a higher level of technical expertise and knowledge in estate and trust administration
- Builds and maintains relationships with internal support partners (Tax, Risk, Real Estate, Private Business Group) and external partners (CPA and Attorneys) to manage risk by ensuring accurate, timely and efficient administration
- Maintains high quality, proactive communication with beneficiaries with a focus on client satisfaction and asset retention
- Escalates matters to assist in the management of the bank's risk
- Acts as a technical resource for colleagues in Estate Settlement Services and with other internal partners
- Coaches, develops and mentors Assistants and Officers
Required Qualifications
- BS/BA or equivalent experience required
- Minimum of 3 years of personal trust/estate settlement/investment related experience required
Desired Qualifications
- JD or Professional designation in paralegal studies preferred
- Experience with High-Net-Worth clientele
- Strong communication and organizational skills
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment where multi-tasking and prioritization is a necessity
- Works well as an individual contributor and member of a team
- Proficient use of Microsoft Office suite
- Ability to learn and apply new technology and systems
