Set Up Operator-2nd Shift

Location: Hartwell, GA

Shift: 2nd shift – 3:30 pm to 12:00 am, Monday‑Friday (overtime and Saturdays may be required). Some training will be on the first shift before moving to the second shift.

Pay

$24.11 per hour plus a $0.75 shift premium for the second shift.

Schedule

Second shift, 3:30 pm – 12:00 am, Monday‑Friday; overtime and Saturdays may be required.

Responsibilities

• Gather, bundle, and stack fiberboard partitions and check glue.
• Check the quality of products.
• Empty trash barrels in dumpsters and empty scrap buggies onto the shredder (trash barrels weigh up to 70 lb).
• Make gum bands, repair small parts, and perform general clean‑up as required.
• Gather strips from conveyor, fill hoppers, and keep them filled properly.
• Gather partitions at the end or side of conveyor, pick up bundles, strap, and palletize.
• When on a conveyor, stack bundles by hopper feeder.
• Remove bundles from the conveyor at the stacking area and place on pallets (bundles weigh approximately 8–40 lb).
• Operate shredder.
• Maintain a clean and orderly work area to ensure safety.

Requirements

• Ability to count accurately.
• Quick learner who can adapt to change and work well in a team environment.
• Proficiency with various tools, including broom, utility knife, bundler machines, turntable, tape gun, scrap buggies, shredders, air hose, and trash barrels.
• Knowledge of, or ability to learn, safety rules, operating policies, and procedures.
• Effective communication skills.
• Good attendance, reliability, and dependability.
• Proficiency with a ruler/tape measure.
