Course description: Studio projects complemented by seminars and readings examine plastic, social, and gender politics in contemporary visual art.

Salary Sessional Lecturer I: $9,997.48
Sessional Lecturer I Long Term: $10,699.22
Sessional Lecturer II: $10,699.22
Sessional Lecturer II Long Term: $10,953.96
Sessional Lecturer III: $10,953.96
Sessional Lecturer III Long Term: $11,228.90
All inclusive of vacation pay;
Please note that should rates stipulated in the collective agreement vary from rates stated in this posting, the rates stated in the collective agreement shall prevail.

Minimum Qualifications

MA or MFA (or equivalent graduate degree) required with previous teaching experience.
Strong exhibition history and currently exhibiting artist showing digital media, computational, and/or artist’s moving image art.

Description of duties

  • Preparation and delivery of course material
  • Managing digital teaching materials
  • Supervision of teaching assistants
  • Preparation and delivery of assignments, tests, final examinations and deferred final examinations
  • Marking of student work, submission of grades
  • Dealing with student enquiries, appeals and petitions
  • Student contact hours
