About the role
Sessional Lecturer I position for the completely asynchronous online course APS1001H: Project Management. Estimated enrolment: 70–100 students. TA support to be announced. One 3-hour lecture per week during the Fall 2026 term (September–December).
Responsibilities
- Deliver lectures for online delivery
- Prepare and administer midterm and final quizzes
- Attend Q & A sessions and answer student questions
- Oversee project updates and marking (with TAs, if applicable)
Requirements
- Minimum of 10 years of project management experience leading engineering projects
- PMP certification
- Experience using Microsoft Project
- Knowledge of and experience teaching the following concepts:
- Integration Management
- Stakeholder Management
- Scope Management
- Time Management
- Cost Management
- Communications Management
- Procurement Management
- Risk Management
- Human Resource Management
- Skills in teaching techniques that increase value to organizations and the marketplace
- Strong record of presenting lectures and ability to translate this skill into an online format
- Ability to administer an online course effectively and explain concepts clearly
- Prior teaching experience in APS1001 or a similar project management course
Pay
Minimum level of pay is $9,997.47 (Sessional Lecturer I), which includes vacation pay. Salary may increase depending on the applicant’s level of experience and suitability for the position.
