About the Role
This sessional lecturer position is responsible for teaching HIS311H1S Canada in the World, covering topics from the fifteenth through to the turn of the twenty-first century, including treaties, trade agreements, alliances, and cultural ties.
Responsibilities
- Developing syllabus
- Course preparation
- Lecturing one to two-hour classes weekly
- In-person lectures
- Marking
- Supervision of Teaching Assistants (TAs)
Requirements
- Master of Arts in History or related field required
- Mastery of the subject area as related to the course description above required
- PhD in History preferred
- Demonstrated evidence of superior undergraduate teaching preferred
- Previous experience teaching a similar course is highly desirable
