About the Role

This sessional lecturer position is responsible for teaching HIS311H1S Canada in the World, covering topics from the fifteenth through to the turn of the twenty-first century, including treaties, trade agreements, alliances, and cultural ties.

Responsibilities

• Developing syllabus
• Course preparation
• Lecturing one to two-hour classes weekly
• In-person lectures
• Marking
• Supervision of Teaching Assistants (TAs)

Requirements

• Master of Arts in History or related field required
• Mastery of the subject area as related to the course description above required
• PhD in History preferred
• Demonstrated evidence of superior undergraduate teaching preferred
• Previous experience teaching a similar course is highly desirable
