Course: ARC2014YS - Design Studio 4, the fourth architectural design studio in the Master of Architecture sequence. Students integrate structural and environmental systems, respond to site conditions, and address a program of moderate complexity.
Responsibilities
- Attend meetings required by the studio coordinator
- Prepare and deliver course material
- Manage digital teaching materials
- Supervise teaching assistants
- Prepare and deliver assignments, tests, final examinations, and deferred final examinations
- Mark student work and submit grades
- Handle student enquiries, appeals, and petitions
- Maintain student contact hours
Requirements
- M.Arch degree or other graduate degree in Architecture (preferred)
- Proven record of teaching foundation design studios at the M.Arch and/or B.A/B.Arch level
Preferred Qualifications
- Knowledge of contemporary architectural pedagogy and the current state of the discipline, both practical and theoretical
Schedule
- Mondays: 14:00–18:00
- Thursdays: 09:00–13:00 and 14:00–18:00
- Sessional dates: January 1, 2027 – April 30, 2027

Pay
- Sessional Lecturer I: $9,997.47
- Sessional Lecturer I Long Term: $10,699.21
- Sessional Lecturer II: $10,699.21
- Sessional Lecturer II Long Term: $10,953.96
- Sessional Lecturer III: $10,953.96
- Sessional Lecturer III Long Term: $11,228.90
Salary includes 4% or 6% vacation pay, where applicable. Should rates stipulated in the collective agreement vary from rates stated in this posting, the collective agreement rates shall prevail.
