About the role
Architectural Design Studio 2 is a continuation of the required design studio courses in the Master of Architecture sequence, and continues the introduction of architectural design through a studio teaching setting. The course invites students to evaluate architecture’s impact on context and how it takes shape through ordering context, site, and program.

Pay
- Sessional Lecturer I: $9,997.47
- Sessional Lecturer I Long Term: $10,699.21
- Sessional Lecturer II: $10,699.21
- Sessional Lecturer II Long Term: $10,953.96
- Sessional Lecturer III: $10,953.96
- Sessional Lecturer III Long Term: $11,228.90
Salary includes 4% or 6% vacation pay, where applicable. Should rates stipulated in the collective agreement vary from rates stated in this posting, the rates stated in the collective agreement shall prevail.
Responsibilities
- Preparation and delivery of course material
- Managing digital teaching materials
- Supervision of teaching assistants
- Preparation and delivery of assignments, tests, final examinations, and deferred final examinations
- Marking of student work and submission of grades
- Dealing with student enquiries, appeals, and petitions
- Student contact hours
Requirements
- M.Arch degree or other graduate degree in Architecture (preferred)
- Proven record of teaching foundation design studios at the M.Arch and/or B.A/B.Arch level
Preferred Qualifications
- Knowledge of contemporary architectural pedagogy and the current state of the discipline, at both practical and theoretical levels
