A Servtender position combines the roles of a server and bartender, focusing on front-of-house operations for both food and bar services. This role involves providing genuine hospitality, speed, and accuracy to guests while being integral to the restaurant’s success.

Job Duties

• Greets guests, takes orders, prepares drinks, and serves offerings in accordance with restaurant and bar standards.
• Is knowledgeable of both food and beverage menus and offerings, including dietary and allergen guidelines.
• Operates cash register and receives payment in cash or credit card, accurately counting and providing change when applicable.
• Operates in compliance with federal, state, and local laws regarding serving alcohol.
• Prepares and serves non-alcoholic and alcoholic beverages as ordered, following recipes and preparation processes in line with company standards.
• Serves food as ordered in compliance with company standards.
• Checks guests’ identification to verify age requirements for alcohol purchases.
• Prompts the sale of alcohol to those who are intoxicated and monitors their intake.
• Orders taxis or other forms of transportation for intoxicated patrons.
• Cleans and maintains the restaurant front of house, including sweeping and vacuuming.
• Performs shift opening/closing/prep duties as assigned for front of house operations.

Requirements

• High School Diploma or GED (Preferred)
• 6 months of previous serving and bartending experience (Preferred)
• Innate desire to provide exceptional guest experiences
• Professional appearance and strong customer service skills
• Basic computer proficiency, including email and internet use
• Basic math skills and ability to apply them in a professional setting
