About the role
The Sales Associate plays a crucial role in delivering world-class customer service and driving sales at C3 Industries' dispensaries. This position requires a deep understanding of cannabis products and an ability to provide personalized recommendations and effective upselling techniques.
Responsibilities
- Provide exceptional customer service by prioritizing customer needs and ensuring a positive shopping experience.
- Meet or exceed individual sales targets and conversion rate goals as defined by store leadership.
- Greet customers upon entry and verify required identification (ID).
- Assist new customers with state-required forms and update customer information in the system.
- Maintain the waiting room and sales floor during downtime, ensuring they are well-stocked.
- Educate customers on cannabis properties and genetics based on their needs and preferences.
- Fill online orders efficiently, focusing on customer experience.
- Handle customer complaints professionally and escalate issues to management when necessary.
- Maintain product and strain knowledge and stay updated on current trends.
- Accurately use and manage the point of sale (POS) system.
- Comply with company cash handling policies and perform daily cash management responsibilities and compliance reporting.
- Assist with product intake, inventory counts, and audits.
- Support the management team to increase sales and foot traffic.
- Work closely with the management team to ensure compliance with all relevant policies, including state/local regulations, security protocols, access protocols, inventory tracking, dress codes, and work schedules.
Requirements
- 1+ years’ customer service experience.
- High school diploma or GED.
- Experience with POS systems and cash handling practices.
- Commitment to meeting Key Performance Indicators on a regular basis.
- Effective multi-tasker with the ability to prioritize tasks independently.
- Strong oral and written communication skills, with the ability to communicate professionally.
- Knowledge of state and local regulations is preferred.
- Ability to pass a background check and be 21 years of age or older.
- Willingness to work nights, weekends, and some holidays.
- Must be able to obtain and maintain required state licenses based on work location.
