Services Coordinator I (Sunny Meadows)
About the role
The Floating Services Coordinator plays a vital role in delivering and engaging partners to deliver educational, health and wellness, and asset-building programming for residents of MidPen properties. The position involves providing access to and delivering programs such as: After School Program, Summer Program, Academic Support and College Readiness Assistance, ESL Program, Health and Education Workshops, Food Security Programs, Nutrition and Physical Activity, Economic Empowerment Program, Workforce Development, Rental Assistance, and Lease Education. This role also includes leading outreach efforts and planning community events/interactions to help build trust and engagement.
Responsibilities
- Deliver onsite programs to multiple sites that meet internal standards, objectives, and regulatory requirements.
- Congduct outreach via door-to-door engagement, phone, email, and other strategies to promote available services.
- Prepare and submit required program documentation for MidPen and external agencies.
- Provide low- to moderate-level crisis intervention and complete appropriate follow-up, including mandated reporting.
- Implement all mandated reporting policies and procedures consistently.
- Engage property-level partners to support partnership goals and collaborate with local community agencies.
- Monitor partner-provided services and support community meetings with the Property Manager.
- Assess community needs, contribute to property planning, and deliver individualized resident service coordination.
- Maintain accurate records, track service activities regularly, and ensure timely reporting per Services' policies.
- Participate in team meetings and events, keep supervisors informed, build collaborative relationships, and perform other assigned duties.
Qualifications
- Demonstrated customer service orientation and strong relationship-building skills
- Solid judgment, discretion, and problem-solving skills when working with residents
- Desire to work with underserved populations
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills and demonstrated ability to work independently
- Excellent reading, writing and verbal communications skills and comfortable communicating across language barriers, including using translation apps and services to navigate multiple language needs
- Effectively use Outlook, OneDrive, Teams, Zoom, Salesforce, Microsoft Office Suite and other technology tools to support interactions with peers and supervisor
- Satisfactorily pass required background check
- Must possess a valid California Driver’s License, proof of current auto insurance, and reliable transportation
Physical Requirements
- Constantly perform desk-based computer tasks, frequently sitting
- Occasionally stand/walk, reach/work above shoulders, grasp lightly/fine manipulation, grasp forcefully, use a telephone, sort/file paperwork or parts, lift/carry/push/pull objects that weigh up to 15 pounds
- Rarely twist/bend/stoop/squat, kneel/crawl
Working Conditions
- Must be available to work 9:00 AM - 6:00 PM, Monday through Friday; a minimum of one but up to two or more evening(s) until 7:00 PM, and occasional weekends required
- Able to travel between multiple sites
Education and Experience
- High School Diploma or GED and 1 year of experience and/or training in community development, social services, or related field; Progress towards a 2-year or 4-year college degree preferred.
- Minimum of one (1) year experience working in any of the following related areas preferred:
- Families, adults, and youth in a diverse population
- Youth (5-12 age range) in a classroom or after school setting
- Older adults/elderly support and service
- Experience supporting program and service implementation and coordination
- Experience collaborating with local service providers preferred
Pay Range
$24.62 - $27.69 Hourly - Pay based on applicable experience and qualifications
Bilingual in English and Spanish required
