Responsibilities

  • ServiceNow SPM Development, Configuration & Systems Design
    • Design, configure, and develop solutions within the ServiceNow Strategic Portfolio Management (SPM) suite, including Demand Management, Project Portfolio Management (PPM), Resource Management, Time Entry, and Agile Development/Scrum.
    • Build and maintain ServiceNow platform components: Business Rules, Client Scripts, UI Policies, UI Actions, Script Includes, ACLs, Flow Designer flows, and Integration Hub spokes using JavaScript and the Glide API (GlideRecord, GlideAjax, GlideSystem).
    • Lead or participate in the design, development, and enhancement of custom and standard applications.
    • Provide technical consultation to clients and IT management to ensure efficient application systems using established standards and methodologies.
    • Document technical design and analysis, including project postmortems and metric collection.
    • Maintain application documentation and process topology to align with business strategies and technology roadmaps.
  • Technology Strategy & Innovation
    • Recommend new or alternative technologies to enhance operational effectiveness and reduce costs.
    • Identify opportunities for global standardization and organizational efficiencies.
    • Research, analyze, develop, and document new processes and procedures to meet business needs.
  • Stakeholder Engagement & Operational Support
    • Lead or participate in requirements gathering to provide technical guidance on systems options and solutions.
    • Establish and maintain communication with stakeholders to keep all parties informed of incidents, problems, and resolutions.
    • Serve as a point of escalation for complex issues, focusing on root cause analysis and corrective action plans.
  • Governance, Standards & Best Practices
    • Participate in developing, implementing, and maintaining best-practice standards, policies, and procedures.
    • Oversee the promotion of configuration/development changes through environments, including testing, approvals, and documentation.
    • Assist in creating and maintaining multi-year functional roadmaps for assigned disciplines.
    • Contribute to the development of overall strategy, tactics, planning, and execution of initiatives to support IT services.

Requirements

  • ServiceNow Technical Expertise
    • Demonstrated configuration and administration experience in ServiceNow, including update sets, Incident Management, Problem Management, Change Management, CMDB, Knowledge Management, Service Portal, Strategic Portfolio Management, and Service Catalog.
    • Proven ability to develop new and modified standard and custom ServiceNow applications, including scoped applications, business rules, client scripts, script includes, workflow, and tables/fields.
    • Experience developing extraction and transformation processes via Integration Hub, import sets, and transformation maps.
    • Expertise in JavaScript, including client-side and server-side scripting with the ServiceNow Glide API (GlideRecord, GlideAjax, GlideSystem, GlideForm).
    • Working knowledge of HTML, CSS, Jelly, and AngularJS/Service Portal widgets.
    • Hands-on experience configuring and developing the ServiceNow Strategic Portfolio Management (SPM/PPM) suite, including Demand Management, Project Portfolio Management, Resource Management, and Agile/Scrum boards.
    • Proficiency with core ServiceNow development artifacts: Business Rules, Client Scripts, UI Policies, UI Actions, Script Includes, ACLs, Flow Designer, and Notifications.
    • Experience building and maintaining integrations using Integration Hub, REST/SOAP web services, MID Server, and data sources/transform maps.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent combination of education and experience in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
  • 3+ years of hands-on ServiceNow development experience, with demonstrable work on the Strategic Portfolio Management (SPM) or Project Portfolio Management (PPM) applications preferred.
  • Working knowledge and experience with Microsoft Office products.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Certification in ITIL or PMI.
  • ServiceNow Certified System Administrator (CSA) required or strongly preferred.
  • ServiceNow Certified Implementation Specialist – Strategic Portfolio Management (CIS-SPM/CIS-PPM) highly desired.
  • ServiceNow Certified Application Developer (CAD) and Agile Development/SAFe certifications are a plus.

Pay

The estimated base salary range for this role is $105,000 to $133,910 per year. Individual pay is based on location, skills, expertise, experience, and other relevant factors.
