Service Writer

Job Description

A Service Writer must provide support to drivers, mechanics and office teams daily as outlined below. This position is in a repair shop environment. You will handle the organization of shop workflow, writing up Work Orders, Purchase orders, overseeing a parts inventory, and providing end of month inventory counts. This is a seasonal paced work environment.

Qualifications

• Service Writer experience highly desired, but not required.
• Parts management experience.
• High School Diploma (Required)
• Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite including (MS Outlook, MS Excel, MS Word, MS Teams).
• Experience using computerized fleet maintenance, invoicing, and scheduling systems.
• A high aptitude in learning new software applications specific to our organization such as McLeod, etc.
• Good oral and written communication skills in order to effectively interact with customers, drivers and other team members in person, telephone and email.
• Customer service-oriented as well as team-oriented and must have good organizational skills.
• Able to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
• Able to work a flexible schedule when needed to including weekends, evenings, and holidays.

Software Proficiency
