Service Writer
About the role
Our Service Writer position is responsible for managing the administrative areas of our team and is an important role within our Washington operations. The Service Writer manages many work orders in all parts: creates work orders using data given by customer or supervisor, approves technician’s service notes, attaches reports and inspection results, approves and rejects timecards, follows contracts and quotes by dollar amount and verbiage, handles computer-made invoicing, emails all supporting documents to the customer, and occasionally schedules technicians. Attention to detail with accuracy is essential. Creating and keeping customer relationships using positive and professional communication is necessary.
Requirements
- Very simple mechanical knowledge or understanding of the industry is desired.
- Must be able to demonstrate a disciplined ability to work with limited supervision.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Self-motivated, attention to detail, and works well under pressure in a busy environment that requires multitasking daily.
Skills
- Essential Computer Skills: repetitive typing tasks, copy+paste, folders (saving, filing, renaming, opening & closing documents), edit a PDF, create a Word doc, Excel Sheet, and use Outlook.
- Ability to work off of 2 monitors.
- Ability to learn new programs and CAT-specific software.

Pay
Salary from $28.40 to $34.75 per hour.
