Service Trainee - EPG

About the role

A MacAllister EPG Service Trainee is the heart of our business. You will work on and, at times, lead service and maintenance tasks of our EPG Rental equipment while continuing to learn and prioritizing safety for yourself and others in the workplace.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose and repair generators, heaters, chillers, electrical panels, air compressors, and other rental equipment
• Clean and grease equipment, check all fluid levels, and ensure proper operational condition
• Gather and properly store cabling
• Locate parts needed for repairs
• Write service reports

Requirements

• High school education or equivalent; technical background or additional training (e.g., vocational school with studies in diesel engine repair) preferred
• 1 to 3 years of mechanical experience with diesel engines or generators, preferably with a rental company or Caterpillar equipment
• Ability to work overtime and weekends
