Service Technician (Tempe)
About the role
At Mark-Taylor, we are seeking a Service Technician in Tempe, AZ to help maintain our communities and provide exceptional service.
Responsibilities
- Handle maintenance repairs and contribute to the upkeep of the community.
- Provide five-star service to residents.
- Assist in the completion of make-ready units to Mark-Taylor standards.
- Troubleshoot, diagnose, and correct minor air conditioning and/or heating failures, appliance repairs, electrical problems, plumbing problems, minor carpentry, and drywall repairs.
- Perform necessary repairs and preventative maintenance on vacant units as they become available.
- Perform daily pool care, ensuring the pool is in proper chemical balance and the area is safe.
- Complete minor roof repairs, re-key locks, and cut keys.
- Inspect the property for safety hazards and correct them.
- Share on-call duty with the Manager of Facilities and Service, and service team members, being readily available to go to the property if needed and in uniform/badge.
- Absorb inventory of parts and cleaning supplies.
Qualifications
- 1+ years of maintenance experience in multifamily.
- General knowledge in plumbing, electrical, pool maintenance, HVAC, carpentry, landscape maintenance, appliances, and OSHA-related standards.
- Service orientation.
- Basic computer skills.
- Experience as an apartment turn technician, make ready technician, or work order technician is highly desirable.
- A basic understanding of written and verbal English.

Pay
The anticipated base pay range for this position is $23.00/hour. All service team members who participate in the on-call rotation receive an additional $3.00/hour incentive for all hours worked while on-call. Additional hourly pay for EPA, CPO, and OSHA certifications is also provided.

Compensation
Compensation includes the anticipated base pay range of $23.00/hour, plus an additional $3.00/hour incentive for on-call hours, and additional hourly pay for relevant certifications.
