Service Technician (Orlando)

About the role

This role involves installing, maintaining, and repairing a wide variety of equipment found in service stations and convenience stores, including:

• Fuel dispensers and submersible fuel pumps
• Service station site controllers
• Credit card readers and cash register consoles
• Pumping PCW and tank/line monitoring equipment

You will work in a safe manner, complying with applicable fire safety, OSHA, and EPA rules and regulations. The position requires troubleshooting, analyzing, and determining corrective actions for service and repair of equipment, as well as performing scheduled maintenance and factory-authorized modifications.

Responsibilities

• Perform repairs and scheduled maintenance on equipment in a professional and productive manner
• Maintain tools required for performing the job effectively and safely
• Follow customer safety and housekeeping guidelines when performing repairs at customer sites
• Resolve warranty calls on dispensers and tank monitors
• Perform service calls as needed, including after-hours
• Conduct break-fix and preventative maintenance on service station electronics, computers, and fuel dispensing systems (electronic, plumbing, and mechanical work)
• Provide quality customer service that exceeds expectations by completing duties in a cost-effective manner
• Complete prerequisite work to obtain and maintain certification from original equipment manufacturers
• Work with service project crews on service projects, assisting lead technicians with start-up and commissioning of equipment
• Travel as needed

Requirements

• High School Diploma or GED
• Valid Driver License
• Familiarity with computer operations and aptitude for learning computer skills
• Gilbarco Dispenser certification and Veeder Root Tank Monitor certification (preferred)

Physical Requirements

• Ability to repetitively lift, carry, push, or pull up to 50 pounds
• Frequent bending, stooping, and standing for 8-10 hours per day
